The uPVC Tilt and Turn Window opens from hinges at the side inwards or tilts at the top. For a window to operate, it needs a lot of strong internal hardware with multiple lockup points.
In Europe, it is usual for these to be of the "turn first" kind: handle at 90 degrees opens the window in side-adorned mode, and at 180 degrees, it opens in bottom-adorned mode for ventilation.
